Carrying the future of Japanese textile factory

“NINOW” is a textile exhibition made by textile designers working in Japanese factories.
Now, young designers in their twenties to thirties are moving to those textile factories area and start working there. Their act did not change the mind of young people born and living in those areas only. It also gave positive changing to designers who supported those factories during long time and technical experts feelings.

Japanese factories can do more!
NINOW takes this opportunity to put a spotlight on textile designers and create a place where they can present their creations. Textile designers who inherit factory’s technics and knowledge, and also who are prepared to commit in the future of Japanese textile. They did not have the chance to show their creation until now. At this exhibition, they will be here to present themselves and we hope that this occasion will help them to build a reliable relationship with fashion brands and designers.

“NINOW –TEXTILE JAPAN IN PROGRESS- vol.1” that we started from AW18 collection was supported by mina perhonen and Hillside Terrace. It took place in Daikanyama Club Hillside in October. For this second time, we prepared an exhibition with 100 pieces made by the members. We will show designers’ creations until now and from now through textiles. On the first day, designers will talk and present by themselves so please come and join us!
