Designer Profile1992: Stocked and sold a variety of merchandise, from used American clothing to imported European goods, at a boutique in his hometown of Tokushima.
1996: Worked as a purchaser at L'Eclaireur Japan's flagship store.
2000: Decided to go to Italy based on discussions with CARPE DIEM (C DIEM) designer Maurizio Altieri, with whom he had worked closely as a purchaser, and went to Italy alone. Worked on business and planning projects as the first-ever foreign employee of the company that manages CARPE DIEM and learned about the garment-making process. 2003: Returned to Japan to establish CARPE DIEM (C DIEM) storefronts.
2004: Established the "wjk" showroom. Released original brand merchandise under the [wjk] name starting in the autumn.
2005: Opened a [wjk] store in Omotesando, and also simultaneously in Nagoya and Osaka. 2007: Left [wjk].
2008: Established a brand under his own name, "junhashimoto."
2011: Opened his flagship store at Omotesando Hills.

The concept is "Japanese Classico." Garments are painstakingly created based on a sense of style cultivated in Italy and combined with a uniquely Japanese aesthetic. Eschewing excessive decoration, his goal is to inspire an artistic interest in appearance and functionality, using the innate beauty of the garment to make the most not only of the appearance of the clothing but of the wearer's practical sense of style.
